Vivian, who grew up in a family of missionaries and then married a young missionary in Africa, was stuck. She despised being in a relationship as a daughter and wife who didn't feel love. Her memoir is about love--finding new ways to love yourself; she spent most of her life not being able to do so. She married her second husband Tom--a solid, brilliant engineer but was always feeling 'stuck.' Finally, after her marriage to Tom was coming unglued when she was writing Death by Roses, she worked hard at loving herself. As Vivian jokingly says, "I wrote a book to save my marriage." Her memoir was written to provide insight to what worked for her after decades of being made to feel unworthy. But her initiative to love herself has been successful and she has been happily married over 30 years. This is for anyone who is in any relationship who feels stuck.
Vivian Probst has been a highly successful national consultant to the affordable housing industry for over thirty years, as well as award-winning author of her previous book, Death by Roses. Vivian lives in Delafield, Wisconsin, and her national consulting business is located in Milwaukee.
