Some of our favorites- new and old!
This book explores relationships, family, and the experience of being an Asian American. Frank Li falls for a white girl that he knows his parents would never approve of- especially considering they disowned his sister for marrying a non-Korean. However, when Joy Song has the same issue, they crack a plan to fake-date each other in order to keep up appearances for their parents when they are really seeing their non-Korean dates. It gets complicated far too quickly. A great debut!

Great for fans of The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale! Thorn explores the Goose Girl fairytale in a whole new way: Princess Alyrra is content to escape her role and become a goose girl when her companion betrays her to take her place as the bride of Prince Kestrin. However, between the dark sorceress that is orchestrating the prince's downfall and the injustice that runs rampant in the kingdom, Alyrra realizes that she cannot remain complacent. This is a lovely book that explores themes of family, abuse, justice, and duty. Both my sister and I loved it!
