The Southeast Wisconsin Festival of Books is an annual community celebration of literacy and the arts held the first weekend of November. It is an event where local and national authors and readers of all ages come together to enjoy presentations, performances, creativity and conversation. Books & Company is the official bookstore of the SEWI Festival of Books. A percentage of sales will be donated back to the SEWI Festival of Books.

Hemley talks about being an older writer and being in it for the duration, as well as how to retain ambition and drive while managing expectations. Hemley will also read from his newest novel, Oblivion. He will be interviewed by Jim Higgins, books editor for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

It is an event where local and national authors and readers of all ages come together to enjoy presentations, performances, creativity, and conversation.
This is a free community-wide event which is organized by the UWM at Waukesha Foundation in alliance with Cooperating Organizations from the community, including the Bridges Library System, All Writers’ Workplace, Waukesha Reads, Books & Company and MC Services.
