Chloe says it best: Romy was born on a space ship headed to "Earth 2" to colonize. When her parents die aboard the ship, she is left all alone to complete the mission - until a new ship seems headed to help her. This book is intense and unlike any other book!
This is a sweet and joy-filled memoir written by a native Wisconsinite in her 90s. Take a trip down memory lane with her to her farm in western Wisconsin.
Crow, Osh and Miss Maggie live on a small island off the coast of Massachusetts, living the simple life until the day comes when Crow starts asking questions about her birth.

A heartbreaking but touching story of WWI told through the eyes of a carrier pigeon and a major. I love learning more about history by reading engaging stories.
This book does such a good job of showing authentic teen lives in the 90s. There is mystery, a touch of romance, undercover agents, and some hockey. It is set in the UP of Michigan near a Native American reservation; such a beautiful but also heartbreaking book.
Here is Hailey's review from our Teen Advisory Board: Tierney lives in a society on the outskirts of the untamed wilderness; a place where men make all the choices and believe that women are the inferior gender, only useful for the purpose of reproduction and minute labor. However, the men believe that when girls reach the age of 16, that they manifest magical powers that can overtake male power, so they send them all away into the woods to ensure they return to society harmless. The Grace Year will sweep readers off their feet as they are thrown into a battle for women's rights and survival against the elements and dangers hiding within the forests.
This is a beautiful family saga set in Vietnam. I learned so much about Vietnam from reading this book. If you liked Pachinko, you will love this book.
